While we did upload an article called:
But now that I read it again, I don't think there is enough matter in it and it might not be able to convince you all to get your interest in the book. Don't you think so?
And that is the reason, I have made this new account of the plot and premise of the book. So here goes:
The book is set in Nashville, Tennessee in the Unites States of America and is set during the Second World War and in 1941 for most of the book. This should give a hint that the book is a Historical Fiction. But along with being a Historical Fiction, the book is also based on Psychology.
America had just recovered from the harms of the Great Economic Depression when World War II began. We all know what happens during a war - poverty, starvation, hyperinflation and what not! But for a country like the United States, this would not have been a concern, because they had faced the greatest economic depression from 1929 to 1939, if something else had not happened. When all of this economic crisis was accompanied by an unnatural rare cosmic phenomena, people started to panic and mistook all of this situation for the Tribulation, or the end of the world. Had these two things come separately people wouldn't panic but it was otherwise. In such misery, a group of people started to spread the message of despair - self-murder!
The book is an example of the effect of hopelessness and despair on one's life and what gruesome form it can take if spread on a higher level. Like most fictions, this story portrays that the good always triumphs, but that is not the primary message the author is trying to convey. Through the story, the author wishes to set a few examples to guide the people who have lost their ways in life. In the huge cast of the story, each character represents one or more human emotions by taking it in their personality. So whatever kind of person you are, there is a high chance that you'll find one or more relatable characters and they might inspire you by their actions.
Via the story, the writer highly criticizes the people who bend the rules and conventions according to their own conveniences. The book also teaches the one should interpret the meaning of rules correctly otherwise there will be chaos everywhere. One such example you'll be able to see in this novel,la itself.
Another important aspect of the story is cooperation among the characters. This is another lesson for life.
In closing, there are plenty of life lessons in the story by which the author hopes to guide the people who have lost the track of their life. The primary principle of the story is that:
